48' Vanquish
A 48' Vanquish ran hard aground while entering Hillsboro Inlet. The TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale captain that was on scene, anchored his vessel offshore, swam a line to the grounded yacht and successfully ungrounded the vessel. The boats unique pod drives, which are designed to shear off upon hard impact, were later recovered using the A-frame on TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale’s 30' SeaArk barge. The yacht was then towed to a haul-out facility for inspection and repairs.
