28' Master Craft
A twin-engine 28’ MasterCraft caught fire while underway in the ICW near Fort Lauderdale. Fortunately, no one was injured and firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, but the boat eventually rolled over and sank. TowBoatU.S. Fort Lauderdale used a parbuckle technique to right the vessel and get it in tow. A RHIB pulled alongside to deploy dewatering pumps into the casualty. Once the vessel was dewatered, it was hauled out and transported to TowBoatU.S. Fort Lauderdale’s facility to be preserved for fire inspection.
